Sweet things do come in small packages

January 12, 2009

At 4 AM, no one should be conscious.

Everyone is to be temporarily dead.

Unfortunately, I am not entitled to that.

My little angel is fully conscious and smiling at me each time my eyes meet hers.

Oh, also, she’s talking to me in her cute high pitched voice.

That is how my life have turned out to be.

Staying up at ungodly hour.

I hope the way I’d put this does not sound like there’s any trace of regret.

All I regret, though I have no power in this, is for not having been born earlier.

If I had been older, I could have gotten little Nadya earlier.

Wouldn’t that be nice? Oh well.

Now, I need to attend to her.

Lady Boss is hungry.

Overly emotional over something so trivial

January 9, 2009

I seriously need to let this out, WHAT KIND OF A NAME IS RENEESMEE?!! I have never been so annoyed reading a book before. I don’t even know how that name is pronounced. I hope no crazy ‘Twiligter’ will name their child that. Spare a thought for that little being.

Once, I read an article on Reader’s Digest where this man had named his son HELICOPTER. Wth? No offense, but I think the person who named their child Tsunami when the Tsunami happened ought to change their names to Tornado and Tycoon! There are millions of proper names and they had to choose Tsunami.

Each time they call their child, they’re calling her like she’s a disastrous monster. Tsk.

Sorry for letting myself get carried away. Reading Breaking Dawn and finding out the name Reneesmee made my jaw drop. It reminds me of all those crazy names some parents name their child. Oh, 8day did this article before (about werid names) and one of the strange name they found was ABCD. How in the world is that even a name, beats me.

Ok, I just needed to get that out. Am gonna continue reading the rest of the book despite how annoyed I am.

Btw, I’ve uploaded some pictures on His Photos. Nothing that interesting to view though.

The Old and The Newly married couple

January 5, 2009

Two amazing events happened on this month of January. One, my only sister got married. Two, my husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary.

My sister is finally married. Alhamdullilah…

It was only on her wedding day that I found out how he proposed. My BIL had “Will you marry me?” printed professionally and proposed to her while on a picnic. Isn’t that sweet?

My husband proposed to me thrice, but the first was at the void deck. Not so romantic, but it’d forever be etched in my mind.

I only wrote on my blog, which he read, “I have finally found that song that I’ve told Maan, ‘If any man sing this song to me, I’ll marry him right away.’”

That was the only hint he had, yet, the very next day he managed to find that song I mentioned. I don’t know how and he didn’t know Maan, so I’m sure he didn’t have help.

He stayed up the whole night to catch the tune and learn the tabs on a guitar. And here we are, happily married. One year already. Alhamdullilah.

Can’t find a better man.

HAPPY 2 MONTHS OLD DARLING!

18 things I did in 2008

December 31, 2008

Like what I have done last year, I shall do it again this year. Maybe also the many years to come. If I still blog that is.

1) I got married to a man I only knew for 3 days

2) I went to Vancouver

3) I went to Whistler Mountain

4) I went to Toronto

Photobucket
5) I saw one of the 7 world wonders: Niagara Falls

Photobucket
6) I went skiing & snow mobile-ing

7) I went to New York City

Photobucket
8) I experienced a heavy snow storm

Photobucket
9) I saw the Statue of Liberty

Photobucket
10) I was on Wall Street

Photobucket
11) I went to New York Times Square

Photobucket
12) I shopped at places I only saw on TV or only available online

Photobucket
13) I celebrated my 18th birthday on the 70th floor, in a restaurant where a bottle of water cost 20 freaking dollars

14) I finally went to Terengganu

15) I started wearing the hijab

Photobucket
16) I gave birth to a healthy lil girl

17) I enrolled myself to a counseling course

18) I took my first flight out of Singapore without my parents

To think of 18 things was so tough. It took me from 3 am on the 31st till 2 am on the 1st to come up with the list. I didn’t really do much this year. I was pregnant throughout most of the year. I can’t be bungee jumping or taking roller coaster rides. Oh well…

Happy New Year!
